The other day I turned up two things.
The first was a set of statistics for the number of babies born to women in their 40s from the Office of National Statistics.
Guess how many women of 48 years old (which is how old I am now) gave birth to a baby in England in 2006?
Just 77. What freakish thing have I done?
On a roll, I found an editorial in the journal Menopause International headlined
Pregnancy in women over 45: should this be encouraged?.
This Pregnancy Over 40 story was found on Guardian.co.uk

This is the moral case of the story? Be as healthy as you can be. Getting pregnant over the age of 40, can be a perfectly normal and healthy pregnancy experience. The same good advice applies to women of all ages. Eat well, watch your weight, drink lots of water, and get plenty of rest. Oh, by the way, be careful what you read!
