I am "only" 38, but my grandmother had her last baby when she was 45, and since that was my father, I'm glad she did! Sixy-eight years later, he is still going strong.

From what I heard, her older sons, who were in their 20's at the time, were slightly embarrassed to be seen with a youngish looking pregnant woman.

I am 45 and just found out I am pregnant. This is my second pregnancy and I thought I was going through menopause. It wasn't menopause I was experiencing, I was pregnant.

At first I was very scared since I had bleed twice. I have a 8 year old daughter and 5 year old son. I was 40 1/2 when I had him, easy pregnancy no complications and he was a healthy baby.

I am now divorced, the father of my baby wants me to have an abortion, however, abortion is not for me. I bled again last week, and on Monday all was well. I am getting very excited, however, being only 7 weeks pregnant, I am still scared.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost our precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted there will be no more babies in our house.
