Pregnant at 48 and a half - just wanted to let you know that it can happen at any age. Sick as a dog this morning. - Maureen 9 weeks 2 days

I, too, was in that same unhappy place for 5 years. Each time I'd hear of another's pregnancy, I would weep bitter tears and often wondered how on earth was I going to make it through the rest of my life childless.

I gave up... however, BITTERLY... then suddenly... without any effort whatsoever... at 44, I'm now into my 4th month of pregnancy. Hang in there!

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost our precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted there will be no more babies in our house.

Your comments give me so much hope but I can't avoid crying. Turning 44 next month, crossing my fingers this month, again ...(being extremely healthy and with a 100% drug free body keeps me going
