My step-aunt had a baby at 46

My step-aunt had a baby at 46. After 22 years of infertility, and adopting 2 children, who were teenagers at the time.
She thought she was sick, and she and her husband went to the doctor very worried. She assumed it was menopause. She had never been pregnant before, and had never used birth control.
The 'child' is 23 now. Definitely no DE [donor egg] and no drugs.

I just turned 50, my daughter is 4. (Yes she is mine, only a little help conceiving and flawless pregnancy & normal delivery at 45).
My husband is 40 (but barely 30 in his head). I am a professional, work full time and am the primary breadwinner. My daughter is a total delight, smart, patient, but energetic, loves her Mom, though of course I am the disciplinarian too. She is beautiful, healthy and personable. She has many friends (all boys).

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost our precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted there will be no more babies in our house.
