I had my 3rd after I turned 45

I had my third child two days after I turned 45. Although I wasn't trying to get pregnant, I wasn't trying NOT to either, since my new husband really wanted a baby.

Anyway... I'm wondering who else in the group conceived and gave birth naturally/spontaneously after the age of 44? I'm in the process of writing a book proposal on the topic and would be delighted to hear more from others who have had a similar experience.

I've 43, I've had Cancer twice, born with Spina Bifida, told 20 years ago I could never get pregnant, and here I am almost 12 weeks pregnant with my first child. There are miracles in everyday life!

I did have an amnio with my last 2 pregnancies. I was 43 and 46. Like some other people have said it was mostly just to know to be prepared if there was a problem.

Also, at my age, the risks of a problem were much higher than the risk of a miscarriage from an amnio. I had 2 healthy normal boys. - Patty

At the age of 47, Grace defied the odds and gave birth to her much-wanted first child Aaron.

Well I am 48 now, I have a 21 month old, a 4 year old, and a 24 year old.

I married for the second time at 42, at that time my husband and myself had talked a lot about wanting a family together. I asked my then 19 year old how he would feel about me having more children. His response was great, but don't have another only child.
