Just found out I'm pregnant at 50

Me too... at 50 - I just got married in September, and just found out that I am pregnant. I had my last baby at age 31, in 1987.

Like you, I also conceived naturally - I thought my cycle had stopped due to menopause, as it had stopped for nearly a year twice before. Surprise! I'm due in June.

I am 46 - my pregnancy was confirmed on 12/18, and God willing, I will be 47 when the little miracle arrives at the end of August 07. I'm really excited and nervous at the same time, just trying to be really grounded and realistic.

I'll go for the first ultrasound on 1/3.

I had lunch with a friend yesterday who told me about a woman she knows who had twins, naturally and unexpectedly, at 52! She had at least one other child, I think a teenager at the time.

And then I went to the grocery store, and saw the sweetest pair of twins sitting in a cart, wrapped in matching fuzzy brown coats with hoods trimmed in white fur! They made me smile. I am so glad they are in the world, even if they're not in my house -- yet!

I had my only child at 46, now I'm 49. I really wanted to have two in a row but the relationship fell apart, so no go. I couldn't get pregnant no way when I was younger -- suddenly at 46, I was very fertile, and had my first child.

Yes, I was healthy but I was a major coffee-drinking smoker. I had an excellent pregnancy, and an exceptionally healthy baby.

Just to add my three pennies worth - one of my friends had her second child at 45, no assistance of any sort, though she ate a lot of pumpkin seeds! It took her 3 years or so to get, and stay, pregnant but she did!
