Annie is pregnant at 47

I am responding to the message from Annie, who is now pregnant at age 47. I found out last week that I am about 7 weeks pregnant at age 46, and soon to be 47 in February.

I can't begin to go through the emotions that my husband and I as well as my 10 year old son share about this. I am excited and happy, but my husband just how coming around. - Theresa

All I want to say is congratulations! Your great shape and health will probably be in your favour. I'm about 22 weeks now. And will be 46 when the baby is born. BEST of luck to you....I'm so happy for you. - Suzanne

We conceived reasonably easily, and have two healthy noisy girls. Never tried to get pregnant earlier but we had to reverse a vasectomy which took a while.

Grace was born when I was 42, and I was 45 at Isabella’s birth. I had one very early miscarriage between, and had all the tests to confirm they were indeed perfect babies.

Hey -- let me tell you, my brother in law's mother had him -- her last child at 52!! And it is not as unusual these days for us older moms to start having our babies, or our last child in our 40's. Good luck to you, and go with your heart. - Kim
