My 45y old tenant got pregnant
Saw my 45 year old Tenant the other day - 5 kids (including twin Boys 5 Fraternal)
She left her hubby June 2002 .... She was never going to have more kids. She started working out to get (not that she looked liked she needed it ... She actually just won an Australian Body Building Title)...
OMG you would never have thought.. Anyway... she got pregnant.... Due in August...... 1 baby. She was using heaps of Whey Protein and taking up to 400 mg DHEA.... Who knows, maybe the working out TO Extreme.... does something..... The father, she only just met at the gym... has no kids and very happy

I don’t usually post here, I am only 21, and I have a perfect 9 month old son.
Anyway I found out today, that my mom is pregnant. She's gonna be 50 on May 5th. Anyway, anyone have any advice or statistics I can pass along to her?

On a related topic, a lady in my home town gave birth to her youngest at age 52, this was over 20 years ago in small town Ireland, definitely no IVF / donor egg then!

I am 44 and trying to get pregnant. Part of my protocol is getting a lymph massage once per month at the beginning of my cycle. The lady who does it is a African-American lady who is 54 and has a surprise baby who is 4. So she was 50!
She always says to me, "Your baby making days are not over till your through menopause!". She hadn't been trying but is a super health nut (really clean organic diet, herbs, very spiritual and in tune with her body). I think I go there just to get inspiration from her (she is completely positive).
And, by the way, her daughter is very healthy and bright. I also have a cousin who had a surprise baby at 44 and my grandma had my dad at 43. They all had one thing in common, very clean lifestyle and optimistic. I think we can do it! Don't give up on yourself!

Jane, I think a lot of babies are rare after 45 because most women over 40 and especially after 45 are actively avoiding getting pregnant. And a lot of over 40 year olds are suffering from bad lifestyles. I know when my grandma had my dad when she was 43, she really did not want any more and made sure she didn't. Otherwise she probably would have had more right up to menopause!
I think the odds of having a baby over 45 are a lot better than we know. So don't let those numbers psych you out. Us over 40 and even over 45 definitely are not out of the game! We just need to take better care of ourselves than we did when we were younger women.
