I am 45 & 6 weeks pregnant
I am 45 as well and am 6 weeks pregnant. I am due Sept 26, if all goes well. I've had a number of miscarriages, so I am cautiously optimistic.

I will deliver when I am 44 years old. I am a bit scared, but the ladies here have been very encouraging.

I got married late too -- at age 41. At age 42, I had a very prominent RE tell me that I would never have a baby due to age, high FSH, and low follicle count.
I had my first one at 43, almost 44. Now I'm newly pregnant with my second and I'll be 46 in a couple of weeks.
You probably won't have as much energy for a new baby as you did when you had your first, but now you've got helpers. I'm doing just fine with my little guy and he is quite an active 2 year old.

I was taking birth control pills and gotten pregnant. I found out after I missed my period for 2 months. I was thinking that I am going through the change of life. I am 44, just recently remarried, have 22, and 7 year old beautiful girls. I am scared.

I have had many patients who were in their late forties when they became pregnant. As long as you do not have any other systemic diseases (diabetes, thyroid problems, hear disease, etc) there is no problem in carrying a pregnancy to term and delivering vaginally. You do not need a perinatologist since you are not a high risk pregnancy. You can use a general obstetrician. There is nothing else you have to do.
