This was a natural pregnancy at 44

I started TTC in 2002, got pregnant in Jan 2002 at the age of 41, had a miscarriage then got pregnant in 2003, another miscarriage, and then July of 2004 two months before turning 44 I got pregnant again, and this time was the charm. This was a natural pregnancy as was all of the others. So there is hope out there!!

My Grandma (45 yrs old at the time) and my Aunt were in labour at the same time. My Aunt delivered my cousin first, followed by my uncle. My Grandma popped out 13 kids.

She learned of it just after getting her ABC news job, and "was a little nervous about telling." She kept it quiet until co-anchor Woodruff was hurt. Getting pregnant was not part of Elizabeth Vargas' career plan.

Quick update... Ultrasound done today all perfect, nuchal fold 1.3mm which is in the EXCELLENT range, so no more tests, perfect size for dates (11weeks 5 days). looks like I will be having a baby at 45.... amazing to see the baby on the scan after all the 'failed to develop' scans over the last 18 months...

After 6 years and 8 months of TTC, 41 charts on Fertility Friend, 2 losses in 2005 and a lot of heartache here and there, we are expecting our 1st child in the fall. I will 44 this year. Although difficult I know, do not give up. It's a rough road but well worth it in the long run.
