My grandmother had her youngest at 48 years old. Grandpa was 58 years old. There were no complications (he was born at home with a midwife) and he went on to have 2 children of his own. He's in his late 60s now.

A friend from long ago, had a wonderful pregnancy at age 47.

I was 45 when I gave birth to my second daughter, she is now 8 weeks old. I was 44 when I fell pregnant (Australian) with Isabella. What did I do to make this happen? We were incredibly lucky for it to happen 16 months after the birth of my first daughter. - Cathy

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost our precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted there will be no more babies in our house.
