I'm 45 years old & I'm 8 weeks pregnant.
I'm 45 years old (46 when I have this baby) and I'm 8 weeks pregnant. I was in total shock when I found out and I'm still adapting to the idea . It will be my 3rd child (my son is 20 years old and daughter is 26 years old) I'm already a grandma so you can all imagine why I'm so shocked - Ruthie

I'm 46 and the surprise pregnancy shocked me just as much. My oldest son is 20. At the beginning, I was scared and concerned about baby's health. - Vanessa

I am 43 - almost 44 and I am 12.5 weeks pregnant. Two previous miscarriages (last year)...so fingers crossed everything goes well with this pregnancy. Had a CVS test with ultrasound last week - baby's heartbeat is strong, 172.

I am 45 years old and recently found out I am pregnant. I have 4 children: sons ages 26, 25, 23 from my first marriage and a girl 5 from my second. We have been trying unsuccessfully to have another for 4 years using ART and donor eggs with two miscarriages, had a myomectomy to remove fibroids. Then out of the blue I missed my period, thought I was starting menopause but took a test to rule out pregnant and came out positive! I have since taken several more, all positive. I have my first ultrasound tomorrow and I am scared to death! - Ingi

45 isn't so old! I'm sure you'll do just fine. I too was worried about having a baby at my age. A visit to the peri-natologist made me feel much better. They do genetics counselling, and I found out my odds of having a perfectly healthy baby were much greater than I thought!! My beautiful boy is 5 weeks old and is just perfect. I also have 3 daughters, ages 19, 17, and 2; and a granddaughter who is 4 months old. - Joyce
