My wife just gave birth & she is 44y.

The doctor was suppose to be very excellent in his field well, anyways, when he came in the room to do the amnio, he walked up to the side of me and he said, "oh, you are old." I was really hurt. I am 43 years old, and then he laugh he said, "you have nothing to be ashamed of, my wife just gave birth and she is 44 years old."

I prayed to God for my friend a few years back, that I would give up having a second child if he would give her one. Well needless to say, her son is now 2 and she just gave birth in May to twin boys!! She is my age [44]!!!

Babies Special Delivery show - One woman was 43, and one woman was 44 (like me) and had 3 miscarriages (like me) and went on to have healthy normal babies and deliveries!

Just as some inspiration. I was talking to my 39 year old brother yesterday, and he informed me that a mutual friend of ours ( my age 43 or 44) is 4 months pregnant. This friend of mine use to like my brother many years ago, however he was seeing someone with the same first name also 5 years older than him, he ended up marrying her, however it only lasted 5 years. She re-married and had a baby at 44.

Now what are the odds that the 2 woman my brother could have ended up with in life, get pregnant and have babies at 44ish?

Also, currently my best friend from High School is Pregnant with her 2nd child she will be 43 in Dec. She is the only one of my friends that actually wanted to be pregnant in her 40's , so it makes me wonder how many more pregnant friends I would have if they actually were trying.

You know (here is another story!) the Huichol Indians who live in a remote area of Mexico have babies right up until about age 60 -- and births over age 60 are not unheard of. The reason is because they have not been exposed to the media and the women never heard that their "eggs get old." That really made me think about how much we are affected simply by what we have been told whether it is true or not -- if we believe it is true, it will be true for us.
