Her mother was 52 when she was born
At the same board is another woman from Canada who I exchange posts with often. Her mother was 52 when she was born and one of her sisters was still menstruating into her sixties. She is 47 or 48 and ttc, she has a 20 year old son. And did you read Jeanne's post carefully, a 51 year old going through the same treatment for ttc, and the doctor sounded rather matter-of-fact.
It's not over till it's over ladies! Keep up those fertile thoughts.

I've been pregnant 5 times in 7 years (just found out last night I'm pregnant for the 5th time!). We now have two little boys, ages 2 & 3! I'm in total shock! I'm 44 years old, and Victor is 55. This is nuts! I am not totally disappointed really, but I just dread telling my father, his housekeeper, my grown kids, and most of all my poor husband!

My mom had my youngest brother at 45. That gives me lots of hope. At that time, the nurse told her she couldn't believe how many older women in their 40's were having babies and that was in the 60's! Still hope for us.

Back in the '60's a neighbour of my mom's was at or near 50 and had a baby.

I am 45 and just found out I am pregnant. It was quite a surprise, as I thought I had hit menopause...and my other kids having flown the nest, I was getting used to peace and quiet. But surprises are good things and I am looking forward to a new little one.

Congratulations. You've really inspired me. I've been wondering about a third and now I feel like I can wait rather than rushing into something and taking the attention away from my 3 year-old and 3 month old.
