Her healthy baby born just days before her 46th birthday.

My very best friend has a younger sister who was never able to conceive in her 20s and 30s. She had fertility treatments in her 30s which were never successful but committed to stopping all treatments upon her 40th birthday. Then she became a real estate agent, sold houses and even bought an enormous house for her and her husband. With her new pursuits and a big house to decorate she completely forgot about having a baby. At the age of 45 she missed a few periods, thought she entering menopause. She was shocked to find out she was actually pregnant. Her healthy baby girl Kailyn was born just days before her 46th birthday.

Nonna was one of those little tiny Italian nonnas who didn't say two words most of the time. She sat right up and started YELLING at my mom in Italian. "What’s the matter with you? Of COURSE Caterina can have a baby! I had my last one at 44! No big deal!" That settled THAT.

Decided I wanted one more at age 43. Tried for 6 cycles - totally natural (except added a little acupuncture and PreSeed and instead cups). Got pregnant at 43 1/2 and am 30 weeks pregnant with another HEALTHY baby boy (verified by amnio). I turned 44 in May.

Wanting to be sure we micromanaged this pregnancy every step of the way, when she (Dr.) announces, yeah, sure, we'll test/ultrasound do whatever you want, but, you know, 44-year-olds, 45-year-olds, even 46-year-olds have delivered here regularly, (implying, it's not as if we don't know how to care for them.)

I just want to give everyone some more hope. I ran into a friend of mine at the store and she was 8 months pregnant with her 4th. Her youngest is 4 years old, and it took her over a year to conceive, but she did it naturally. She is 44 years old. I also have a childhood friend that just had a baby naturally and she is 42.
