There is a doctor where I live (Florida) who helped a 53 year old lady get pregnant. It was IVF, but she had three beautiful children. He never told her it would not happen.

My good friend just had her second child recently at the age of 45-and-a-half! And this, after two miscarriages.

I have a friend who is a midwife and she delivered naturally conceived twins to a 50 year old woman a couple of years ago. All I know is that they were conceived naturally, i.e. no assistance what so ever, just straight forward s*x.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost our precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted there will be no more babies in our house.
