My girlfriend had her first at 40, her second at 45
My girlfriend had her first at 40 (Katie is now 11) and her second at 45 (Jonathan is 6). Both were natural pregnancies and this was also after some uterine cancer she had removed about 5 years prior to Katie.

I went to see my preferred care provider Dr. today to update her with stuff with the OB/GYN who I am seeing and to coordinate care while I am not pregnant. Anyway, she told me that one of her coworkers had her first baby at 40 and 2 others followed, all healthy, natural. Just thought I would share that with you!

Last night I talked to my friend who has 5 lovely children. Her 5th was born when she was 44. She doesn't drink and is a very healthy lady, very natural and she said all her pregnancies were all natural. She had her 4th child when she was 40. I'm not sure, but her first must have been when she was late teens or early 20s.

My mother said she has a friend who had a daughter at age 48, and I am pretty sure that was all natural since she is like that. Anyway, my step mom said a lady who taught at the same school she did had AI and became a single mom with her first child at age 50. I don't know these women personally, but do remember my mom's friend, because she was PG the same time I was with my DD 21 years ago. So anyway, I know it can be done.

I am 44, will be 45 in August and I am due with my third child on May 18, 2004. I had 3 IUIs which were unsuccessful and was about to do an IVF when we got pregnant naturally. It has been a very easy pregnancy and I hope will be an easy delivery also although he is breech right now and I may have to go in to have them try to manipulate the baby in the right position. Good luck to everyone over 44 trying to conceive!
