Never once did I suspect I was expecting - 48y

My age now is 48 and DH 54, we have 5 children ages DD's 30 and, 10 months, DS's 28, 21, 20. As you can see our little one was quite a surprise, after the initial shock she was much anticipated. In Jan of '03 we had went on the Atkins diet, lost 55 lbs, and I just quite losing, tore the cartilage behind my knee cap was in a brace for 6 wks, then got the influenza, just didn't feel myself, tired. Never once did I or anyone suspect I was expecting (had started menopause also), 5-5 I went into the dr. expecting to hear bad news only to the hear you have EDD of 7-10. Yes, you heard that right!

I am 44 and have an 18 & 17 year old from a previous marriage and a 16 month old with my new hubby (who is 15 yrs younger) I thought this would never happen for me and here I am pregnant with my second (with hubby #2) I do plan on having my tubes tied after this one only because I think 4 is enough and I seem to be very fertile in my advancing age
... either that or it has something to do with having a much younger husband, I don't really know.

Hi I am 47 years old and having my 4th baby with my new husband. It was totally unexpected and I am anxious about it. My due date is 1st week August but as my babies have been premature I am expecting a July baby.

Yes there is hope!!! I am 12 weeks pregnant, and turned 46 last week. I also have a 2 year old son, that I conceived and delivered at 43. Both times I conceived naturally. At 43 it only took me 3 months, then it took 20 months for this one. I was getting really down about it, Had 2 unsuccessful iui cycles. Then when I was on a rest cycle because of a cyst it happened.

Good luck to you! I'll be 46 when I deliver in Oct. (positive thinking!). My husband "blames" my taking Shaklee vitamins for us suddenly expecting - he's a big believer in Shaklee.
